3. Data Storage and Security
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard practices to protect your information.
Storage Infrastructure
Your personal data, project data, and account information are stored in secure PostgreSQL databases located in the United States with redundancy and backup mechanisms. Database access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems only.
Password Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use bcrypt, a cryptographically secure hashing algorithm, to hash passwords. We never store, have access to, or can recover your password. If you forget your password, we provide a secure password reset mechanism.
Encryption in Transit
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS (Transport Layer Security). This protects your information from interception during transmission.
Security Practices
We follow industry security best practices including:
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Access controls and role-based permissions
- Monitoring for unauthorized access and suspicious activity
- Secure software development lifecycle practices
- Employee training on data protection and privacy
While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available two-factor authentication.
